BIG Question! What shall I do for a backsplash?

There are so many options; glass, stone, tile, etc.  Any suggestions? I'd like to go all the way around the area above the counter tops, but also up the wall above the glass cooktop. I'm waiting for the granite to go in before making any decisions. What does everyone like? Then we need to paint what is left of the uncovered walls. It's going to look so cool when it's done!
