Royal Icing

  • 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar (1 pound)
  • large egg whites, about 1/2 cup
  • teaspoon vanilla extract


Directions:

Add vanilla to egg whites. 
 

Add in your powdered sugar.


Mix well. When everything is wet, increase speed and whip until stiff and glossy. 

Use to decorate your favorite cookies with solid frosting. Color as you'd like.
