Simple Chicken Soup

This is really such a simple recipe.

But so warming and comforting.

You'll need some basic ingredients:

Chicken
Onions
Carrots
Celery
Chicken Bouillon or stock
Pepper
Bay Leaf
Noodles or Rice

You start with broth and add all your ingredients to simmer for a couple hours total. Very simple, very satisfying.

Gather your ingredients.

Fill your pot with water or stock. Add bouillon if you are using water.
Bouillon is one of those things you should have in your cabinet all the time.

Add in your chicken. It will need about an hour to simmer in the broth.

When the chicken is completely cooked, remove the chicken to a bowl to cool.

Allow the chicken to cool until it can be handled to debone.

Cut up your vegetables.

Add them to the pot.

Sprinkle in some pepper and add one Bay leaf.

When the chicken is cool enough to handle, remove the bones
and add the meat back into the soup pot.
Cover and allow to simmer for about an hour.

 About 15 - 20 minutes before serving,
add the noodles or uncooked rice to your soup.

Soup is done.

A nice bowl of hot soup, maybe some crusty bread!
What more could a person want?

Perfect! Chicken Soup, the cure for any ail.
